Life. Live it - First Aid Training

Life. Live it. is designed for pupils aged 5-11 at all primary stages and it emphasises the simple skills that pupils need to know.

 

The key messages of the teaching resource are as follows:

  • Simple actions can make a difference.

  • Anyone can learn to give first aid in different situations.

  • Life. Live it. will enable children to feel confident that they can help.

  • If children are confident, they will be inspired to help.

People have accidents or are suddenly taken ill every day of the year. By learning first aid, children are empowered to look after themselves and each other. We hope that your pupils are inspired by the Life. Live it. message and see the impact that first aid skills can have on their own lives.

Road Safety Patrol

In order to improve the children safety on the road, the Road Safety Patrol club (RSPC) was formed and initiated in the L K Matriculation School. The aim of the RSPC is to teach the importance of the road safety from the age of 5 which Children should not only be taught about the dangers from facts alone, but shown the hazards on the roads.

 

If they walk to school, an adult should  walk with them until they (and you) are comfortable that you have identified the best places to walk, cross and where to look out for blind spots. You can do the same for the park, shops etc until you're sure they've got the message.

 

 

THE BIG TIDY UP CLUB

With litter being a major issue for many schools across the country, the Big Tidy Up is an ideal way to teach young people about the problem of litter in their local environment.

 

Getting involved in a tidy up gives young people the opportunity to become part of their local community. Not only will they be making a positive contribution to their local area but they can also be learning at the same time.

 

The issues surrounding litter, waste and the local community fit perfectly into many areas of the school curriculum and are an ideal starting point for many group activities.

  
VIDEO CLUB

We are delighted to say that we’ve teamed up with the education and in-school club for kids VIDEO CLUB, who will be helping us bring you the very latest kids educational videos and reviews.

 

Children who joined in the Video club can watch the kids programmes like Cbeebies from BBC and various kids programmes through different medias.
